River tube and life jacket rentals are available with advance reservations.
Attendees must be at least 8 years of age to participate.

We will take walk ups on the day of event for those bringing their own river tube and life jacket. Walk up fee is $5 and we will accept cash only. Walks ups may join any of 3 launches -please bring tube deflated.

SPLASH ON THE WABASH was started in 2015 to celebrate the local rivers and has transformed into an annual event that draws hundreds of regional attendees. Proceeds from the event support the activities of Local Boy Scout Troop #130 and historic education efforts of the Forks of the Wabash Historic Park.
Special thanks to ACRES Land Trust and the Wabash River Heritage Corridor Commission.
We work with the Army Corp of Engineers at Roush Dam in Huntington to create the perfect lazy river flow on the Wabash River for this one-day event. Launches are scheduled for 10 a.m., Noon and 2 p.m. ~ so pick the time that works best for you and your party. The float lasts approximately 90 minutes. See event rules below.
Have your own river tube and life jacket? Join our float for a small $5 fee to help cover event costs and to help support a good cause. Float at ANY of our THREE launch times (10 a.m., NOON, and 2 p.m.) with the NO RENTAL participation fee. Life jackets are required and tubes must be river quality - no pool floats! What to expect:
You and your party will be transported via bus to our launch site, collect your tubes from our launch team and begin your float. Just kick back and relax and we'll see you in about 90 minutes at our check-in location where your car is parked. Be sure to use our online ticketing reservations to schedule the time that works best for your party.
Sometimes weather and river conditions cause changes and cancellations. We will run the event RAIN OR SHINE. In the event that we cancel, see cancellation policy (keep scrolling). We post updates on Facebook and send cancellation notices via e-mail.

EVENT RULES
1. Alcohol is not permitted. You may bring small coolers with waters to accompany you. It must fit on your lap during bus ride and tubes may not be reserved for coolers.
2. Please wear water-friendly shoes. Flip flops may slide off. Water shoes or old tennis shoes work best.
3. Do not bring phones or valuables with you on the float. If you drop into water you will likely not be able to find due to river currents.
4. No drop offs at the launch site. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED AND RIDE IN EVENT SPONSORED TRANSPORTATION.
5. You may link to other tubes via the plastic loops. Please unhook before exiting water.
6. Physical constraints: Participants should be able to walk a short distance to launch site and be able to maneuver out of an inner tube.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to other individuals. Just let us know at registration day of event. EVENT IS HELD RAIN OR SHINE.
If river conditions are deemed unsafe and we are unable to conduct the event, we will schedule a back up date. All purchased tickets will transfer directly to the new date with refunds available for a limited time ONLY. The rescheduled date will be communicated on website, e-mail and social media along with the refund details. No refunds will be issued after the cutoff date. If the secondary date is cancelled due to river conditions all tickets will be refunded.
By purchasing a ticket to Splash on the Wabash, you agree to the following LIABILITY WAIVER:
I acknowledge that by participating in the Splash on the Wabash event, I am aware of the risk of injury to myself and others. I understand that some events may include transportation that is provided to me, and may involve risk of injury or other damages. I assume these risks by voluntarily participating in the event. I understand that this event could be a hazardous activity, and I assume and accept the risk of injury or death that could result from my participation in the event.
I accept that any equipment that may be provided is for use “as-is” and I accept full responsibility for the care and use of the equipment during my participation in the event. I understand that there are no express or implied warranties related to the condition of the equipment being used.
I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless all officers, officials, employees, agents, participants, volunteers, representatives, affiliates, organizations, advertisers, owners, property owners, and/or sponsors for this event from any and all claims, demands, injuries, damages, or liability, including negligence, for any and all injuries that may arise out of or in connection with my participation in the event.
In addition, I agree to fully comply with all terms, conditions, and/or instructions for my participation in the event. I understand that life jackets must be worn and fastened at all times. I understand that consumption of alcohol during the event is not permitted. I certify that my physical condition and/or health are satisfactory to participate in this event.
I understand and agree to the use of any photos or other likeness may be taken and used in future publications, including but not limited to subsequent publications, advertisements, and/or newsletters.
